source:
(1) The U-shaped hoop should have sufficient strength and rigidity to transmit tension and friction and support the weight of the structure. A steel plate with a thickness of 10mm to 20mm can be used.
(2) Since the U-shaped hoop connecting plate is a member that directly supports the tension of the bolt, it needs to have sufficient strength and rigidity. According to theoretical calculations and practical experience, steel plates with a thickness of 24mm to 30mm are suitable.
(3) Since the bolts on the U-shaped hoop connecting plate are arranged in double rows, the outer row of bolts generates a large eccentric moment on the U-shaped hoop body when pressure is applied, which adversely affects the power transmission of the U-shaped hoop body. Therefore, the screw assembly should be as compact as possible. It is recommended to meet only design and power transmission requirements.
(4) In order to increase the rigidity of the U-shaped hoop connecting plate and reliably transmit the screw tension in the vertical direction, a reinforcing plate should be set for the connecting plate every 2-3 rows of screws.
